The information presented in Chapters 2 and 3 shows how complicated the earth's atmosphere and climate are. Many of the discussion questions asked at the end of this chapter have no easy answers. In spite of this, newspapers and magazines often contain articles that present the problems of the possible control of the earth's climate by humans as if they were amenable to simple solutions. These chapters should make it possible to consider these articles and problems with consideration of their inherent complexity.
